EKU Online Master of Arts in Special Education Recognized for Value and Affordability
Some of the nation’s best online degrees for special education teachers come from Eastern Kentucky University, according to AffordableCollegesOnline.org. The EKU Online Master of Arts – Special Education was named #11 among the top 50 schools in the nation.
"These schools are going above and beyond the industry standard to help make online education programs an excellent option and more affordable,” said Dan Schuessler, CEO and Founder of AffordableCollegesOnline.org
The organization has a unique metric called “Peer-Based Value” or PBV that it uses to compare schools. First, universities are scored based on cost, accreditation, percentage of students receiving financial aid and student-to-instructor ratio. The total number of online programs a school offers is also considered.
The PBV allows reviewers to compares a program’s tuition to that of other schools with similar qualitative scores. They also compare the qualitative scores for programs that have similar costs. This approach allows students to weigh which schools are best in overall value.
EKU offers online programs for those pursing an MAT, MAEd or EdS. Students benefit from:
- A regionally accredited program at a respected brick-and-mortar institution.
- Expert faculty who work with some of the most influential members of the field.
- Classes for working professionals with instructors who are committed to their personal and academic success.
- Personalized advising to ensure they are successful in every step of their degree program.
