EKU Online Students Earn Education Degrees

Eastern Kentucky University awarded 58 degrees and certificates to 2016 EKU Online graduates in the College of Education. Commencement exercises took place on Saturday, May 14.

The College of Education offers EKU Online degrees in teaching, administration, elementary education, special education, gifted education, middle grades education, instructional leadership, school media librarianship and literacy. Online education began at Eastern Kentucky University in 2006 with one class of six students. Today, there are more than 3,000 online students. In Spring 2016, EKU Online graduates were awarded 504 degrees and certificates: 14 associates; 224 bachelor’s; 204 master’s; 10 doctorate; and 52 specialist and certificate designations.
